Planters seem to have corrected the issue with the bad batches of peanuts. Have not gotten any bad peanuts for some time now.

Most recently the number hard as rock, rotten tasting, fouls cans of roasted peanuts have been coming from Planters. It start bad from when you first open the can and it stinks!

Not what peanuts should smell like at all. Recent batch (28 NOV19 1018 A4) is the worst. Don't even think about just stinking you hand in the can and getting a handful of peanuts to eat.

You need to carefully go and check each peanut (no exaggeration) before you attempt to eat them. Would rather buy another brand or the store brand before ever buying any more Planters peanuts.

Reason of review: Bad quality.

Monetary Loss: $8.

Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.

the food quality of planters dry roasted peanuts has taken even MORE of a nosedive since late 2017. Would probably give a D+/C- rating now.I believe it is a combination of elements:- kraft owned (kraft makes *** products)- increased foreign source of contents &/or poor QC methods- recipe changes- changes in processing (methods and location)what was once a household name for nutritious snacking is now a household name for food to avoid.

The quality of Planters nut products has declined, I agree. No reason anymore to pay extra for the stuff they are selling.

I buy peanuts of all kinds at stores like Big Lots, Ollie's and others. Most are fine and some, like the Star brand are very good----and cheaper than Planters.

Planters used to be the number one brand to buy once upon a time. No longer.
